Provided by YP.comWe understand that things happen, that crime happens...but this place is NOT safe. They claim on their website and lease that they provide "security", that the community is "gated"...the gates on both sides are wide open a minimum of 80% of the time. And on the rare case they're closed, there isn't anyone working at the gate to ensure safety from who is coming and going. The gate is set up for one random code that EVERYONE knows, so there is no real way of approving who is and isn't coming into the complex. Six days ago, over a holiday weekend, there was arguing and three shots fired off over a 20 minute span directly outside our apartment. Turns out that one of the shots also went through my vehicle. When going out to speak with the cops when they arrived the single "security" guard working came an asked me what was going on..IT IS THEIR JOB TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IS GOING ON. He had no idea arguing had ensued for 20 minutes or that three separate shots were fired off as a man attempted to shoot a woman right outside our apartment in the parking lot. Where is the safety and security in that? Further, there was no contact over the weekend from the management addressing the occurrence to the community or ensuring they will work to up safety and security. On Monday I went in to speak with the property manager and was told by a leasing agent that they had no clue a shooting had even occured or that my property had been damaged...THREE days later. It should not matter if it was a weekend, or a holiday, management should be aware of what is happening in the complex and should always be working to maintain a safe and peaceful place to live. They made me come back three times Monday because they were "too busy" to speak with me about my concerns for my safety and my want out of this complex. And when I finally was able to speak with the property manager, she said that "crime happens all the time" as if tenant safety isn't something she cares at all about? DO NOT MOVE HERE

Provided by YP.comThey conveniently "failed to mention" the 60 day move out notice which forced my roommates and I to pay two extra months of rent outside of the leasing contract. That is, the lease expired, we all moved out, and they force payment because of a small clause somewhere in the lease. The staff was cold and unyielding when we tried to work with them to resolve this problem.
Whenever I went to turn in my apartment key a man who was moving out came in to do the same. All of his belongings were packed in a uhaul but it was a shame he didn't know about the notice either because they made him cut a check right then and there for two months of rent. They intentionally trap potential residents this way. Regardless of whether you say, "I know this now so it won't happen to me" or not, my experience with Holly Hall Apartments speaks volumes about their mode of business.
Good location. The actual apartment was decent. The workout out facilities were sub par. We had a mouse problem as well.
