My partner and I are first time home buyers, so we weren't really sure what to expect. Ron arrived early, he was very professional, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. He walked us through every step of the inspection. He answered every single question throughly, and spent a lot of time with us. He was there for almost 3 hours! He didn't make us feel rushed, and honestly we probably asked a few silly questions (since we are first time home buyers) but Ron took it in stride and explained everything, and went through the report with us. He thoroughly documented everything, took an ample amount of pictures. He was a complete pleasure to work with. Laurie, the woman who works in the office was amazing as well! She spent a lot of time on the phone with me, answering questions and clarifying. Ron knew the area we were buying the home in, and offered additional advice and services we may want to look into. He gave us different solutions to problems in the home. I can't say enough amazing things about Ron. There are enough horror stories about home inspectors out there, PLEASE save your time and energy and look no further. I highly recommend Ron, and will be referring him out to my friends and family. Well let me start by saying what a very nice man. Moving here from Fla, I had to reschedule my appointment several times with all of this snow and they supported me each time and never made me feel like it was a hassle. When I had my current home inspected, it took that inspector literally 45 minutes and he missed quite a few things and I got burned. Ron took his time to go over every concern of mine and provided a very detailed report to me and all parties involved saving me a lot of time. I am another person looking to save a buck and was going to deny a home inspection. After all, it was only a town home I am purchasing. The items that you had found really amazed me and I had no idea. Being a single mom, I really appreciate the way you had taken the time to explain to me in detail what a few of my options were. One item in particular that was found was a fire hazard. I thank you for taking the extra time to go over the report, again, and pointing out several other items. Also, very convenient that all the paperwork is handled immediately. We had come from Vt, a few weeks ago to have our future home inspected. I was actually going to waive my rights to a home inspection as the home just seemed to be perfect when I had seen it weeks prior. My wife and I met Ron and I was skeptical about going with the home inspector my realtor recommended, but when my lawyer recommended him as well, I figured I was in good hands. I must say, the best money I had spent. I was more than happy to find his knowledge of my future home and everything he found saved me a lot of worrying, considering I was not going to have it inspected. He was extremely professional and the fully detailed report was sent to everyone that day. Of course issues had to be ironed out while we went back to Vt, but Ron took care of everything. The issues that were found, he advised us of what steps to take next. This was a very pleasant experience considering I live out of state. I look forward to moving into our new home in several weeks.

We used Ron to inspect our first home. He is a nice guy and seemed to do a decent job. That was until I started my own home inspection after his. I found a lot of important stuff that he missed or failed to inspect including the main water line into the house (needed a new pressure reducing valve) and some electrical issues (GFCI issues). For his $525 fee, these things should have definitely been picked up on. He was probably in bed with our realtor so he just winged it but that was about normal for the nightmare that was purchasing our first home. I have no background in construction, plumbing, electric, etc. but good thing I'm smarter and more thorough than Ron. I’m pretty much convinced that all these “home inspectors” are a scam. I thought Ron would be on the better side being he was expensive and received good reviews on here but in all reality, people are generally very stupid. I would recommend shopping around and not using the inspector your realtor recommends.

This is my first home, and I want to thank you so much for your detailed report and explanations to even the minor issues. The septic company your office set up was wonderful too. I would refer you to any of my friends. I also want to thank you for your patience in your dealings with my dad and father in law.

Thank you again Ron for taking the time to explain all major, and minor, components in the home. I came to the home inspection prepared with my own notes and you covered all aspects and then some. I have 2 friends that are looking to purchase homes in the next few months and I will gladly give them your information.

I had two other homes, all inspected before purchase by other companies. When I sold them I found that previous inspections missed expensive defects that I had to pay for once sold. Ron just inspected my new home, and the home I just sold was also inspected by Better Home Inspections before purchase. Guess what, no surprizes on my sale that I had not known about. I have already reccomended Better Home Inspections three times since 9/23/10.

This was my 3rd inspection using Ron. My first inspection, there were major structural issues that he discovered in the crawl space. The 2nd home inspection, as soon as we pulled up to the home, he pointed out that the foundation had a major crack in the back of the home, then he proceeded to show us that the home was "sinking" so to speak. He politely asked us if we wanted to continue after that point, which we declined, and he did not even charge us for that. Our 3rd home inspection, was the charm. Besides some minor cosmetic issues, this is the home we chose and we cannot wait to move into it. Ron's office also coordinated our septic system inspection and took care of all other details as far as confirming all appointments. I'm glad that I originally listened to my realtor and taking her suggestion on choosing Ron. I will recommend him to everyone that I know.

I am so happy to have found Ron. From start to finish, he took the time to explain to me everything he was finding in our future home and gave us more of a bargaining tool to work with, and let us know what we were in for in years to come with our future home. He was there for us throughout the entire process and even answered questions while on the phone with me during our walk-thru. I have since referred him to several family members and they were just as pleased. I would recommend him to anyone and I trust his opinions.
