Aloha! I am whitney and i am heath and we are the proud owners of naughty cat farm and this is our RES success story. We saved our entire lives to finally buy our farm in South Kona. We are completely off grid. Solar was the obvious choice for our needs. We had never lived on solar power and were very over whelmed by the technologies available and the sea of installation companies to choose from. This was a steep learning curve with no margine for error. We could only afford one shot at this and we needed it to work the first time. We spent 8 solid months doing a completely exhaustive scrutiny of every single solar energy provider on island. We spoke to and met with everyone from the humble one man operations up to the largest company with the biggest fleet. At the end of the eight months of searcgi g it was 100% clear that RES was hands down the best choice. They have the most experienced technicians in all Hawaii. The father and son who run the company have technical working knowledge and credentials that rival NASA engineers. To that same end they are the only company on the island that is offering the latest in cutting edge technologies. From our first meeting on they were professional, transparent, and PUNCTUAL! They worked with us to determine our energy needs and quickly provided us with a list of options that would work for us and explained the technologies in a way we could understand. Their price estimate was clear, simple, itemized and very competitive. They also outlined exactly how much we would benefit from the huge state and federal tax credits! The installation crew was a group of extremely polite, intelligent and hard working technicians who obviously new what they were doing. They had the complete system up and running in less than 48 hours and left the job site cleaner than it was when they arrived. It has been 1.5 years now and we have not had one single problem! We have put the system to the test, powering our home and farm. The equipment is working perfect and completely maintenance free. I don't normally take the time to proactively write up reviews on companies who services i use. However, i am telling you right now. We did the hard leg work of investigating and researching every single solar company on BOTH sides of the Big lsland, and we chose the experts at RES.
