I had my start as a musician in the elementary school band and never looked back. I started as a brass player, later adding guitar and piano. Since boyhood, Dave has performed thousands of times in virtually every style of music. I know what it's like to start from scratch and how to grow from a beginner to a working professional musician. I have special skills in teaching theory, improvisation, and performance. Whether your goal is to simply enjoy playing in the privacy of your own home--or to stand up and perform for a crowd--I can help you achieve that goal. I love to teach both children and adults. Plenty of references are available. And I can provide a variety of musical performance groups for your party, event, or special occasion.

Location
My easy-to-find studio is conveniently located just south of Holly Springs near Bass Lake Park and Conference center. Only a few minutes from Fuquay-Varina and about 30 minutes from Cary.
Amenities
I have built a comfortable waiting area adjacent to studio where parents and siblings can relax while waiting for their student. Parents are always welcome to sit in on lessons if they prefer. I do require that an adult be present in the studio or waiting area when I teach children.
Associations
I'm the founder, director, and pianist for The Route 55 Jazz Orchestra (55jazz.com), which makes it's rehearsal and performance home in the Holly Springs Cultural Center, 300 W Ballentine St, Holly Springs. I have a close relationship with the staff at this beautiful facility and offer occasional group classes in guitar and ukulele at this location. Please contact the Center at 919.567.4000 for information or references.
