Committee for Early Childhood Development, also known as CECD, is a nonprofit agency that offers a range of education, health and family programs. Its educational program includes the development of language and decision making skills for children through active involvement with peers and adults. The agency s child development program includes literacy, cognitive, social, emotional and physical development services. Committee for Early Childhood Development administers a nutrition program that features assistance from a nutritional consultant and is operated within the guidelines of the Department of Health s Child and Adult Care Food Program. The agency also conducts various parenting skills classes.
