We have used Paul and his company to open and close our mom's pool for years. His team always shows up on time and gets the job done professionally and quickly. What I like about his team more than the company we used before was that instead of throwing our equipment and hoses back in our shed, his team puts everything back and hangs everything up neatly. We have referred him to many friends and family members and they have all been very happy with their service as well.

Unprofessional, rude

I called to see if they could open my pool and do biweekly maintenance. I asked if they serviced my area and Joanne said they did. I explained that I am disabled and would not be able to remove the leaves from the cover but I would keep the cover dry with a pump. We scheduled a date and she said that they normally don't remove leaves but since I'm disabled she'd make sure the pool got opened. After some scheduling issues (Joanne called to reschedule because one of the workers needed to go to the doctor for allergies ??). I was accommodating to reschedule. The serviceman and his assistant arrived and as soon as they saw the pool cover with leaves he immediately said we can't do this job, we don't remove leaves. I explained that this was already discussed and I was assured the pool would be opened. I explained my disability and that I physically could not open the pool and I needed help. He told me to go buy leaf scooper, clear the leaves and reschedule. I explained again that I wasn't able to do that and he said there was nothing he could do. He went on to tell me that I have 2 tons (!) of leaves on the cover. It was clear that the job wasn't getting done so I asked if he knew a company that would and he referred me to 2 companies. I thanked him and then he must have felt bad because then he told me to call the next afternoon and they would reschedule my pool opening for an appointment with the proper time needed for the job. I said thank you and they left. The next morning I received an email and an invoice for $25. Apparently Joanne didn't want my business. She said I had massive amounts of leaves and I live too far for them. She was charging me $25 for their travel expenses! When I spoke with her to rectify the situation and to let her know I was not paying a fee that was never disclosed to me because they decided not to do the job, Joanne was rude, accusatory, disrespectful, loud and unprofessional. She refused to remove the fee saying she can charge for whatever she wants. Needless to say I went with another company who will gladly remove my leaves (for a fee, of course) and open my pool. As for the 2 TONS of leaves...my wife managed to push them into 5 small piles on the liner in 15 minutes. She must have super powers!
