Waited over 25 minutes for soup & cheese sticks. The next table ordered after us & received their salads first. That's when we decided it was time to leave!

only two stakes on menu didnt have one the i ordered, was tough and mostly fat. A1 was not pure a1, mixed with something else. ran out of drink. ordered loaded potato but didnt get think i got charged anyway total for ribeye and hamburger stake 31 dollars could go on.

A VERY PLEASANT SURPRISE. It's 9 PM and you are a picky and discerning well traveled visitor looking for food in Hohenwald. Where will you go ? Your options are extremely limited in this backwater burg. I thought my group and I would be relegated to sitting in our cars, eating McDonalds and curing our bad timing. We just barely saw The River Rat Grill, and thought that, while it didn't look like much, it surely was better than McDonalds.



We walked into a "hole in the wall" atmosphere. Definitely not there for the atmosphere. The menu seems small, but there is a decent selection. I ordered the Kabobs.



The massive platter of food arrives and all I can think is HOLY COW ! Then, I take my first bite. WOW !!! By far the best beef kabobs I have ever had! Perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked ! Amazing food ! Amazing service ! VERY reasonable prices.



My friends had the Pork Chops: AMAZING ! The CATFISH: Some of the BEST they have ever had ! The Mac and Cheese (Homemade lusciousness!), the STEAK Fries, the Smashed Potatoes, the Burger, the Philly Cheese steak. It was all reviewed as incredible by my group. In a town this small, a very unexpected treat ! Worth a drive by itself, actually !



You will not regret patronizing this establishment !

They have a country Buffett. I ordered off the menu. The stuffed cheese peppers were cooked just right and tender. The hamburger steak with mushrooms was goo. I got a lot of food for the price.
