Well been going for 5 or 6 yea...

Well been going for 5 or 6 years along with other family members. Been good care for most part. I had a med run out almost 2 weeks ago, called for a refill to his nurses number on Tue last week. Never heard from them or drug store. Waited till past Monday (6 days) called refill line left message again. I had a routine appointment scheduled Mon afternoon. I was tired of their ineptitued so figured I would go once they could refill a med. They also wouldn't fill another family members thyroid med they have been taken for 35 years. She left a couple messages on refill line also. Had to get emergency supply 2 times from drug store and finally went to another Dr. They called me Tue (week after requesting refill) and said "Oh we got your request for a refill but you didnt come in for you check up yesterday so Dr. Williamson refused to refill it. The only way he will refill is if you come in to the office. You stood him up and we are mailing you a letter about that. We mailed it out today." I said OK. She never asked why I didn't make it or if I was doing ok. The whole entire 1 sided conversation was like You piece of crap. You dont deserve to have us take care of you. The nurse also called my family member and said regarding her refill, that they cant get it unless they come in for a check up also. Even when they said they were taking for 35 years. Its all about the money. True to the nurses word, I got a letter from Galen Medical Group in mail yesterday stating I missed an appointment and if it happened again I would be dropped as a patient from the group. UM. I have good insurance and so do the other family members that were going there. I hire them to take care of me. They aren't doing me a favor. There are hundreds of Docs in the Chattanooga area, many good ones at that. Needless to say, I will not be going back, and they lost 3 other family members business. This is absolute Horrible business practices. I never would have thought Galen would go this route. Wish I would have recorded the conversation, I mean speech, somehow. Am going to keep the letter from Galen though. I would definately take my business elsewhere if they treat people bad like that. Thats 15-20 years combined of business from us all they just gave up bc of their bad actions.

Have been going to dr Williamson for years. Mainly a good experience. One of my prescriptions ran out a little over week ago. I called the Galen number on tue or wed, selected the refill option and left all the info for the nurse(literally 7 or so things you have to tell them). I never heard from cvs saying it was refilled or from Galen's office. Thought since its not an emergency I would wait several days just in case they were busy or his nurse was on vacation. I called again yesterday morning and left message again. Never heard back. I have a family member having the same issues with her medication refills not being called in. She has been going there for years also. I had a routine appt mon noon and didn't go bc their ineptitude made me mad. Today nurse called and said "you stood dr Williamson up yesterday so he refused your refill. He will not refill unless you come to office visit. We mailed a letter today about you standing him up." never asked why I missed appt. All about MONEY
