Burks United Methodist Church is located in Hixson, Tenn. The church offers many areas of fellowship, discipleship and service to the community. It organizes a youth led worship service where youths play music, lead the prayer, run the media and participate in worship. It supports the Wesley Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. The members of the church have partnered with the TEAMeffort ministries and worked on many projects including Vacation Bible School programs, minor construction work at a Deaf Service Center in Tampa, Fla., the Good Samaritan Mission in Wiamama, Fla., the Morning Star Fishery and the Morning Star Childrens Home in Brunswick, Ga.
