If you care about customer service and a proprietor taking responsibility for his mistakes, you will NOT PATRONIZE Kely's Shoe Repair. I had used Kely's for a number of years, and found them adequate but convenient. Two months ago, I brought in a pair of men's shoes for first resoling. Within EIGHT WEEKS, there were holes in the soles of both shoes. That should not have happened even if I had worn them frequently, but I rotate among 6 pairs of dress shoes -- so this was less than 10 days of actual wear. When I brought the shoes in, the owner refused to say any more than "too much walking". I repeated again and again that this should not have happened in so short a time, and all I got in response was "too much walking", even when I showed him the receipt. He offered NO refund at all, and did not even agree to a modest . accommodation. You have other choices for shoe repair in the area, all of which I have found more satisfactory in the past -- Park Ridge Shoe Repair, Dino's in Emerson and Northvale, etc, etc. I am NOT affiliated with any of these stores, but my very unpleasant experience with Kely's leads me to recommend you to find ANY competitor over this local store. Don't let convenience guide you into shoddy workmanship.
