BAD BAD BAD

Worst experience EVER!
I went to the cleaners and dropped off five suits to be cleaned. The lady at the counter printed a receipt. Ok, great. I go back and she crosses off the price and says she rang it up wrong. Ok, that's fine. All the while she is talking to this sales guy who was there trying to sell her a cruise. I give her my credit card and she accidentally hit an extra number. She hands me a receipt that says $446.33. WHAT??? I handed it back to her and she simply wrote "VOID" on it and said it would be fine. I immediately left and went to my bank. My bank said that there was now a hold on my money. I called the cleaners and told her she had to void my transaction in the credit card machine. She let me go and called back 5 minutes later.
She asked for my credit card number and then repeated it LOUDLY in a public store. IDIOT!!! I asked her NOT to repeat it and she did again. TWICE. She still at this point had not apologized. I came back into the store. (Was driving the entire time) I handed her my card and told her to void it. She CREDITED IT TO MY ACCOUNT!!!! I called my bank back and they said that because she did it that way they would have to hold my money for five days. I told her and she shrugged. I was so pissed that I left. I was there with my boyfriend. I walked out first and he followed.
I called my bank AGAIN and they said that she charged my account an additional $46.00 after I left. I called back LIVID! I asked her who told her to charge my card again and said that I did not sign it. She said "I told the guy." I said "What guy? You didn't say anything. The guy who doesn't have a name on the card?" I called the owner who called 2 days later and left a broken English message on my answering machine. All he said was that if I didn't get my money on 2 weeks he would give it back. Yeah, thanks. NEVER AGAIN! STILL NO APOLOGY!!!

Been what I thought was a valu...

Been what I thought was a valued customer of this cleaners for years. I can tell you that my family has spent countless dollars patronizing this establishment until recently. After picking up a some pieces recently, we noticed that a pretty expensive oxford was heavily stained. A stain that clearly wasn't on the shirt prior to dropping off the clothing. After explaining this to the owner, she offered to re-clean the garment at no cost. After going back to pick up the shirt a second time, we were told that the stain could not be removed. It actually looked worse the second time. After years of overlooking other "mishaps" at this cleaner, I knew it was time to move on. I was really surprised at the owners refusal to take any responsibility for the damage. There was absolutely no attempt to remedy the problem. And more to the point, the owner blamed us for the stain because she felt as though this could have never taken place at her establishment. No customer loyalty whatsoever. Even the smallest gesture may have retained my business. It wasn't to be apparently.
