Great busyness!!! So glad they talked me into getting it. The first time I used their services I got a nasty BBQ stain on my sofa cushion so I called to file a claim and the rep was very polite and approved my claim, within a few days they had a guy come out and got the stain out so easily. The second time was a month ago, my wild fur baby's claws punctured and tore the side of my loveseat and just like the first time it was fixed. Accidents happen all the time, I've used them for twice now and haven't regretted it at all defiantly worth the money!

They sell you a protection plan saying they will fix damage to your furniture, but when you call to file a claim they will do all they can to deny your claim. Don't waste your time buying one of their plans as it will only give you grief and won't fix anything.

Just like the rest, I got ripped off. The warranty says it covers it all.
They won't even answer the phone, and when you leave a message on their system, they don't call back. . .ever!

Purchased a warranty for a recliner sofa and Guardian Protection Products refused to honor the warranty or even inspect the damaged furniture. Purchased a Laredo Reclining Sofa (Article # 400774) on 01/01/12 from Bobs discount furniture, for a cost of $599.00 and the Goof Proof Warranty (5 years) for an additional $149.00 and delivery for $129.99. While the children were playing on the couch they broke the two rip cords used to recline the couch. The damage occurred on 11/12/2016 and was reported on 11/14/16. Spoke to a representative and stated since I did not observe how they broke they could not determine if it was accidental in nature and therefore denied the claim outright. I explained, that I was not present however the fact was that neither their company or myself could determine that it was not accidental. I asked for a tech to come out to check it, they refused and just denied the claim. The Goof Proof Plan, according to Bob's Discount Furniture, coverages, "Breakage of frames, springs, sleeper, reclining, heating, and vibrating mechanisms." There seems to be no further remedy than to make my voice heard and allow others to see that this is a company that will avoid paying out a warranty that they were paid to fulfill.

I bought the service threw BEL Furniture is selling this service on their behalf. When I called in my first incident. Because the line of question/ and how they were presented to me. The first question They Ask" When did the stain get there" I explained I don't know, from there on I was afraid to answer anymore question or if I said something I would apparently not get service I PAID for. And yes I was denied my claim as well. Asker speaking with a MR. Stein, a rep out of Texas, he not only was teaching me how to lie, to get the claim approved, and for the agent for assuming I had the steins there forever she was wrong. I will never recommend Guardian Procetion to anyone.
DO NOT GET "GUARDIAN PROCETION" THERE IN BUSINESS TO DENIED ALL CLAIMS. HOW MANY CLAIMS DO THE DENIED. AND I ALSO HAVE TO CALL THERE CORPORATE OFFICE IN NORTH CAROLINA TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BB BUEAR

I had the goof proof plan for 5 years and finally when an incident came about, they denied the request going into specifics when all the paperwork said it was reparable. They will do a word dance and deny based on peculiarities not stated on the paperwork which have no reverence to the issue. My furniture got damaged, I paid for protection, they denied me stating that I was illegible because of specifics. THEY ARE A COMPLETE SCAM. DO NOT GET THE PLAN. YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY..,.

I've got Guardian Protection warranty from the RoomPlace Furniture store as part of the deal. The warranty is totally worthless. They don't say what is covered and what not until you tell them your problem. Then it is always not covered. They are just shun and all other great reviews a re clearly bogus.

0 stars. I have the guardian protection plan on my bobs furniture. This is a total rip-off. It is a challenge even reaching their 1-800 number. The customer service rep was very rude; his name was Victor. They expect you to be very specific with your responses about the "accident" on your furniture but the questions are not asked so specific. Zero stars in reality though.

Horrible experience with very rude staff, disconnecting the phone.

The only sentence they know us" sorry there's nothong we can do" Zero customer service abilities and experience. If i know anybody using ill tell them to csncel and would definitely tell friends to nake sure nobody gets fooled by their words. If you have terms and agreements , you print them out big enough as well. I am so sorry that i wasted 5 weeks especially during my working hours frustating myself for very rude people. And that this companys' supervisor or managers "arent available atbthe moment" for 3 weeks.

Avoid this company. I bought a protection plan for a couch I purchased. I went on their website about stains that they excluded from their plan. According to their website, paint was not an exclusion. When I called hem, they refused to honor their warranty. Avoid this rip-off company!

DO NOT PURCHASE GOOF PROOF PLAN FROM BOB's Discount Furntiure!!! Represented as extra warranty to cover accidental damages but Guardian does not approve claims for a plan that was paid for. THIS IS A SCAM!!! Would like to rate zero stars but not an option. Rep on phone nasty and rude not helpful at all. Wanted to send a technician that i would need to pay additional $ for. I usually do not buy extended warranties but plan was represented as covering all accidental damages, not the case!

Don't waste money - This is the worst warranty. the company is cheating never see a approved claim. I bought the warranty and I reported the teared issue and I have a 2 years baby so not to putt the foam on her mouth we put a plaster. because i put the plaster and the claim is not approved. sales people says dont worry warranty will take care. then I serached on internet I found 250+ complaints so If I had a bad experience 250 people are not wrong . dont buy dont buy warranty (cheating company)

sadly I cant give zero stars because that's how bad this company is. My family bought a couch and the warranty would last for 5 years. After two years the leather has torn from age and when I called them it took 30 minutes for someone to answer me. But that is not the problem. The problem is that when i called them they said that my warranty only covers damages from pet urine and pet damage... ITS A LEATHER COUCH how is urine going to damage it and we don't have any pets. And when we went to buy this warranty they told us that it would cover any damage. Just to help everyone out there do not trust them this is A scam of A company! They are only after your hard earned money and will fix anything

This is without doubt the biggest scam company!!!

I purchased a warranty from Guardian Protection Products for my leather chair. A month or two after the purchase, I noticed a bad scratch in the chair. I called their 1-800 number and left numerous messages with my warranty claim. They did not return any of my calls. I filed a complaint with the North Carolina BBB. They told the BBB they had not received my phone calls. A lady named Michelle called me and immediately denied my claim because she said scratches are not covered, even bad scratches. The warranty clearly stated that scratches are covered. I asked Michelle what the warranty did cover, and she said rips are covered. I asked the difference between a scratch and rip, and she said you can see the foam underneath with a rip. I said I could see the foam underneath, and she said, "Too late, you already said "scratch" and hung up.

She then wrote to the BBB and told them that she had offered me repair service and a full warranty refund and that I had declined both and threatened to sue her.

This is without doubt the biggest scam company I have ever dealt with - there are hundreds of complaints against them at the North Carolina BBB.

This company will promise you coverage on your furniture; but when you finally call for service, they will find every loophole to deny you. They refuse to let you speak to a supervisor and then hang up on you.

I too am victim of this fraud. Note the people at the furniture pitched and sold me on buying it, and they said everything was covered. They actually approved my claim and sent me an email stating I'd be receiving a replacement by mail. It never showed up, of course. Several calls and attempts to follow up with it were either disconnected or not returned. This company is completely shady and I think all of us should file a class action lawsuit for at least what we paid extra for the worthless insurance!!!

I have called Guardian several...

I have called Guardian several times to report claims and each time, they have not covered it. The problem has always been from wear and tear or poor manufacturing. I hit the wall accidentally with the recliner and it put a hole in the corner of the leather. They claimed that it was not accidental, it was misuse of hitting too many times.



What a ripoff! I have always bought protection on for furniture, but never again. I called in to report a spill. After being on the phone waiting for an eternity for someone to help me, then I sat through endless questions about how many stains and where they were and what size, they cleaned that spot and left another instead of cleaning the whole area?



They said I will need to call a professional. I thought I already had, guess not! Somebody is making a lot of money on selling these bogus warranties.

Unfair and deceptive trade practices!



One of the pieces of furniture was accidentally torn and I attempted to file a complaint with Guardian. The only way they take a claim is on the phone, and the claim was immediately denied. The CSR declined my request to speak with a supervisor. I called a second time and had a supervisor from another department transfer my call to the service center. The person who picked up the call said the supervisor "ran out the door" when he heard I was calling back.



After many emails and calls to complain, they finally sent a technician over to look at the furniture. She told me she was sent purposely to find a way to deny the claim. She stated that they are an insurance company and that they lie all the time. She brought no tools or equipment to attempt the repair, but did take pictures of my dogs and blamed the damage on them, although it was clear the damage was not pet related.

She told me she wouldn't get any more repair work from Guardian if she didn't support denial of the claim for them.



I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau--one of over 200 about this company. They declined to send a written response and declined an offer to go to arbitration to have an independent person assess the complaint.

Failure to honor service under...

Failure to honor service under the terms of warranties.

This company has over 200 complains on BBB, but somehow manages to trick even BBB in keeping an A+. Representatives are extremely rude, hang up on people, don't allow people to contact the supervisor or manager, etc.

The representatives at Guardian are taught to ask questions that no matter how answered, they will void the claim and leave customer with no recovery or repair.
