Dr. Christopher Chen was raised in North Miami Beach. He followed in his fathers footsteps by graduating from the Honors Program in Medicine at the University of Miami. Dr. Chen went on to complete his medical training at Beth Israel Deaconess, a major teaching hospital of Harvard University, in Boston, Massachusetts.

While at Harvard University, Dr. Chen performed additional research and focused on how mood, gender, lifestyle and diet can affect future development of various diseases. Dr. Chens clinical skills and research accomplishments during his medical training earned him a specialty position at Cornell University Medical College in Manhattan, New York, where he studied Cardiology. His focus while at Cornell included Preventive Cardiology, Exercise Physiology, Cardiac Imaging and Critical Care. 

He has a special interest in how exercise, specific foods, lifestyle and mood affect the heart. Dr. Chen is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.
