Our family has used Burns Mortuary for all of our loved ones that passed away in this area. I also have attended many services for others that have passed. Each and every time I have been treated with the best of respect and my grief acknowledged. Instead of telling us what to do, they ask questions and offer support allowing us to find peace in our different ways.

While I obviously don't want to frequent their services, I will always feel comfort knowing they are putting on the service based on their professionalism.

When my husband died, I went to this mortuary to arrange his funeral, and his cremation. The head mortician is the most cold and uncompassionate man i have ever met. He made my family and I feel like it was our fault we were there, and Acted as though He had Better things to do than sitdown and go over the arrangements. !!



I understand being in his profession, you must go numb at some point, But this man was Morbid. When my mother-in-law and I went in to veiw my husband and Her youngest boy of 6 's body for one last time, This man followed in and stated " You need to hurry this up, He's got to go back in the Frige in about 5 minutes" !!!!! The Heartlessness!!! Who Is Like That??!!



If At All Possible, I am not sure how the Mortuary in Pendleton is, But I Would almost Blindly Recomend Taking up Your Loved one's Funeral arrangements with Them or Any other local Mortuary, Over the Burns Mortuary in Hermiston.
