I am a single parent with two sons who are handicap and are in wheelchairs. I have searched for months to find a handicap accessible apartment or house in nassau county. I was fortunate to find Alma Gardens only to have them take a hundred dollars from me and turn me down. I am still looking for a safe place to raise my sons and I want to lobby against apartment buildings who are not sensitive to single parents struggling to raise handicap children.
