Salem Construction was the general contractor for a roofing and framing job. The sub-contractor (Lupe building) did a great job of adding slope to the flat area of the roof and removing and replacing the shingles. Mr. Salem made no plans for the framing job and when contacted after the roofing was done decided to do it himself. He attacked the job with a nail gun and it sounded like a Steven Segal movie. A lot of nails were shot. The framing was two inches out of square in a 6 foot run. The OSB sheathing was an inch and half "out" at the bottom and about the same "in" at the top. We had agreed on a pine sheathing but what he brought was a Masonite type hardpanel that was broken and discolored. He said a neighbor had ran over it. The paneling looked like scrap or left over from a previous job. Nails were protruding inside the laundry room many of which missed. After the first meeting he was never there at the time he said he would be. I paid for the roofing and refused to pay for the framing.
