If you care for or love your animal at all, please avoid this place! I regret ever trusting these people with my pet!

I moved here in 2010, and picked the vet in town closest to my house...big mistake. They had nowhere near the concern for my girls or the professionalism that Harrisonburg Animal Hospital has. The other vet was astronomical on their pricing....I love my pets, but it also pays to shop around. I part one-third less here for twice the care and compassion. Don't believe me? Check your bill against their pricing, and pay them a visit. Just good folks, plain and simple...

Avoid this animal clinic. Sure, the staff is friendly- but you'll pay for it later. I brought in my puppy to get some urine tests because he was peeing excessively. After waiting half an hour, the vet came in and looked at him for maybe 2 minutes, and gave me simple advice that I could get for free on the internet. After waiting another 20 minutes, they told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with him. My total bill? Over 100 bucks. I paid $101.20 to wait a long time, see a glimpse of a veterinarian, and learn there was nothing wrong with my dog.



The way vets grossly overcharge people makes me sick, this clinic especially. If you go here, be prepared to pay a whole lot for a whole lot of nothing.

The Harrisonburg Animal Hospital has, in my long experience with them, wonderful docs who are also easily accessible. Also, excellent services; great and helpful and knowledgeable office staff, and terrific vet techs.I recommend them without reservation.

I have been working with HAH for about a decade as of 2009. They have cared for three of my cats in total and have left me feeling as if the cats have always gotten nothing but the finest care. Dr. Jessen is tops as a doc and is great with people too!



HAH's offices are spacious, clean, and well laid out with ample parking. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.



Best vet I have ever worked with.

My pet required emergency surgery while she was out of town with me on an extended work assignment. I had her in two different facilities in other parts of the state-one a VCA facility and the other a solo practitioner. I have no particular complaints about the other two facilities. However, the fact that I made a 200mile car trip with my dog who was on IV fluids and had urinary incontinence to get her back to Dr. Jessen and his clinic says it all.! Tbe facility is immaculate, has up to the minute technology, and the most caring staff I've even seen.Thanks to all of them.

This is an excellent facility. Curteous employess and excellent Veterinarians. The facility is well managed, very clean, and way above average animal care. Would highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone.
