Harrison Avenue School is an elementary school that educates more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. Located in Harrison, N.Y., it offers several enrichment opportunities for the social, mental, physical, intellectual and spiritual development of students. The school s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, language arts, social studies and science. It also provides instruction in art, foreign languages, physical and technology education, and vocal and instrumental music. It offers the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, which is a substance abuse and violence prevention program. The school additionally provides an online list of accelerated reader quizzes. It has a parent-teacher association that conducts a range of fundraising programs.
