Won't go an inch for a customer. Knowingly sold me an un-charged battery. I drove 4 hours to visit my 90-year-old dad on Fathers Day. He was to take us for a ride on his also-aging pontoon boat, but the battery died. We got to the Auto Value store just seconds before they closed - and purchased a new battery. The battery was not charged (and I even asked them about it before walking out the door). Dad called them on Monday to get a replacement - and they would only replace it if returned to the store. This is small-town America. Most any Manager would have simply dropped off another battery on his way home - but no, they're inflexible. There is no way a 90-year-old can carry a battery. Yes, the store is within their legal rights - but there is no way that I can forgive their management for being so inflexible and totally not customer-oriented/focused. Warning to anyone thinking of buying from this store - be sure it works before you walk out the door. James Gorka 6/23/2009
