I came in to pick up an Aveda product. I had not been in that salon in a long time and I see the atmosphere is still the same. The clientele is primarily European descent so as a person of color just coming in to pick up a product you think it would have been uneventful it was not. The receptionist was uncomfortable with myself and my husband in the shop. She went to the front of the shop for a moment the next thing we see is a stylist coming back to us asking do we need any assistance?? We were not puzzled by her appearance or question just disappointed. She left her customer, she literally had a comb in her hand and came to the back of the shop to put eyes on us. Shameful nothing has changed we experienced this a long time ago here did not expect a repeat performance. Also the retail area with the receptionist was not busy just myself and my husband. I told the receptionist I saw what I wanted and was just browsing the other products we did not require any additional assistance.

Best Aveda salon in the area! They really care abouting getting everything just right!
