Roy Buduan has been drafting on Kauai for over 45 years. He began his drafting career with Kauai Commercial Company. He then worked as Senior Draftsman for 18 years at Amfac. Roy is familiar with the building codes required for your permits. Most of the contractors on the island are familiar with his work. When you come to see Roy, you should have a general idea of what you want in terms of design. After one or more meetings with Roy, he will have enough information to begin transforming your ideas into actual plans. Your plans will begin with a Sketch. The sketch is a basic floor plan and one exterior elevation. You will be given the sketch to check over. You should check it carefully and mark any changes you want. Roy will make the changes and give you a 2nd sketch that has incorporated your changes. This 2nd sketch is for your approval to go onto the final drawing. If you make more changes after the 2nd sketch has been made, there will be additional charges. The minimum charge for making changes after the 2nd sketch will be $100. The actual amount of the additional charge will be determined by size of the change.
