I've been to LG's by the Creek several times with both friends and family. They were open for lunch all the way through the night life the last two Saturdays, so I'm not sure what the reviewer who said they weren't open for lunch on weekends was talking about. The wait staff was discussing what NFL games would be on today when I was there yesterday, so that means they're open Sundays for lunch as well.

The night I was there with my children was an extremely busy night (first Carolina football game of the season). Every seat in the house was full, which would explain the wait we had for food. It wasn't as long a wait as other reviewers have described, and we had a party of 5. Our waitress was new to serving, but she was very friendly and kept the drinks filled .The owner stopped by our table before and after our food came out to check on us. We had a Steak Phllly (which had hearty chunks of steak, not thin slices of meat, and was served with a small salad), a build your own pizza with artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes, a side salad (which could have been a meal), and a slice each of cheese pizza and pepperoni. Everyone was pleased with their food and we went home with boxes for the next day's lunch.

On other occasions, we've had the bruschetta-extremely good, eggplant fries with house made pomodoro sauce-yummy and an excellent value, Big Hinson Pizza-generous toppings such as chunks of ham, house made sausage, beef and pepperoni.

Besides the food being delicious and high quality, the wait staff and management have been extremely friendly every time I've been there. The decor is warm and inviting.

I'm glad to have a locally owned, welcoming restaurant with good food so close to my house.

Tried the new place after work and it was outstanding. Italian cuisine was not what I expected but was tempted by the chicken parmesan. It reminded me if the old Patero's. Had a Cheers feel about it. The people seemed to be old friends. Think I'll stop by on a friday and see what the night life is about.
