Thomas Nelson Community College, founded in 1967, is a two-year coeducational institution, offering associate degrees and certificates in more than 40 areas of study. Its programs include accounting, administrative support technology, business administration and management, marketing, computer arts nursing and public administration. The college also offers various work force development and continuing education programs in emergency medical technician, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and Microsoft office specialist and pharmacy technician training. Thomas Nelson Community College is located on a more than 85-acre campus in Hampton, Va. The college offers science and computer laboratories, language and graphic arts labs, cafeteria, bookstore, conference rooms, wellness center and auditorium. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
