I will never use Holloway Meyer again for any service. I called and told Laura that the motor on my furnace went out because the bearings burnt up. A friend who is a HVAC tech told me what was wrong with my furnace. Wish he had the time to fix my furnace. Instead I got ripped off by Holloway Meyer. Laura told me that the price for a tech to come out was $84 and if after a diagnosis is done if I choose to have them fix it the initial $84 will go towards the bill. I told her there is no need for a diagnosis cause I already know what is wrong with it I just need someone to come out and replace my motor. The furnace is only 3 ½ yrs old so the motor is under warrantee. The tech came out and told me exactly what I told him and Laura before he did anything, but proceeded to tell me that it is $65 for diagnosing the problem and then $85 per hour for all subsequent repairs not including materials. After all was said and done he charged me $65 for the diagnosis I already told him and $92 for the hour it took him to get the motor free of charge because it was still under warrantee and install it. The only good thing was that he honored the warrantee on the motor and he continued to clean a few things in the furnace to burn up the full hour so I can get my full hours worth of service. The real kicker is that throughout the whole time he was here he kept saying that other companies state one price then over charge their customers at the end.
