The Harris County Sheriff s Office, also known as HCSO, is a law enforcement agency that operates patrol and criminal investigative divisions. It oversees jail, courtroom security and court services functions within Harris County in Georgia. The office s court services department provides security for superior, magistrate, probate and juvenile courts, as well as serves court papers and transport inmates from jail to other required locations, such as courts and medical appointments. The Harris County Sheriff s Office handles sex offender registration procedures. It maintains a staff of more than 50 employees and over 40 sworn officers. The office administers inmate mail and visitation processes.
