Hackensack Middle School provides educational classes in grades seven through eight and is a part of Hackensack Public Schools. The school s syllabus includes various subjects, such as English, math, science, social studies, physical education, reading, language art and music. The school has a TV studio that produces various documentaries, assembly programs, student performances, concerts and sports activities for broadcast on cable TV channel. The school also has a media center that contains more than 20,000 books, periodicals, tapes and audiovisual materials for individual research and class instruction. It offers various sports activities, as well as extracurricular activities that include band, chorus, civics enrichment, drama, orchestra, record tutorial program, science fair, school newspaper and gardening club.
