A few years ago, I dined at this restaurant based on the recommendations that a few locals gave me. I had a very bad experience in this restaurant. After moving around a lot due to my prior military service and knowing that we live in the 21st century, I thought we were beyond displays of racism and prejudice in restaurants. Guymon, OK, is a small town and has a large population of Hispanics and African-Americans. While eating at this so-called family restaurant, I received dirty looks from 2 customers and the waiter Eric as well as overheard racist remarks from 2 (possibly regulars) customers about Hispanics and African-Americans, after I answered my phone and spoke in Spanish. The waiter Eric Bauer (yes, it is him, if you check in Naifeh's Restaurant Facebook page, he is there as a "friend" but it was he who waited on me since I have seen him around in Guymon and recognized him) greeted me at first when I entered the restaurant and took my order, however during my stay there his service was slow and he was not friendly to me as he was with his other customers. In their Facebook website, they have a few Hispanics as "friends," but I guess they are Guymon townspeople. When I confronted the customers verbally about their racist remarks, they argued back, however I never threatened them in any way, just defending myself and my people. The food was okay when I was eating it, but it had no "wow" factor to begin with. When I went to pay my bill shortly after arguing with the customers, he told me to pay my bill and to never come back to the restaurant. When I told him the customers started it, he said they were his customers and that he was not getting involved, so he did nothing about it regardless of my uncomfortable and awful dining experience. The service was slow for me and unwelcoming. When I told him I wanted to speak to the owner, he claimed to be the owner. Regardless of your ethnic background or race, do not go there! They care more about their regulars and do not seem to like Hispanics. Since we were the only customers there plus another man there, it was their word against mine so I had no support by anyone in my defense. Some of my friends told me that I should have not paid my meal for the service and for being kicked out, but it was the right thing for me to do and that would have been another strike against me. I see they have good reviews, like they say, to each its own, but I do not recommend it.
