I have browsed through most all of downtown Guthrie shops and businesses during this past fall season. The shop I enjoyed the most is a place on Oklahoma Ave called Aunt Gertrudes House. I was greeted at the door by the cutest little schnauzer pup and his lovely owner who welcomed me inside and offered up some coffee/tea and cookies. The store sells imported bulk candies and has a wide variety of licorice from all over the world. This store is not like the others in that it is not full of old used stuff but instead has new items and just a few antiques that are of the interesting sort. There is something of interest for everybody in Aunt Gertrudes House and it will be the downtown Guthrie store that I revisit time and time again.
