We were in a car accident on the last night of our vacation. The car was not drivable and we had to head home the next morning. Towing was prompt. After the tow truck left we realized the key to our other car was in the car just towed. I called Gulf Shores Service Center, a woman answered and I explained the situation. She radioed the driver and told us he would be there for 10 minutes. we were on foot and would not be able to get there. I explained our need to leave the next morning and asked if the drive could meet us in an hour. I was informed, Once the car is locked in we would not be able to get to the car until Monday. We were already shaken about the accident and car and trying to figure out how to get two car loads into one car. As I got upset, saying this wasn't going to work and we needed the key and this was not a positive customer experience. The woman told me to shut the *uck up and call someone else and hung up.

Busy place with lots of walk in traffic and not a lot of staff. The people there are nice and can do basic repairs but not equipped for anything that's not obvious. I did get a good price on tires and also a bill for parts and labor and on a failed attempt to fix a car with a rough idle and stalling issues. After attempting the repair and finding it made no difference to the idle, they basically said "Sorry, not sure what's wrong with the car, it's probably something pretty major and we can't fix it". They referred me to a local mechanic that specialized in BMW's and the guy diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes of looking at my car and told me he couldn't believe they didn't catch a simple vacuum leak. I think they are nice people and do good work for the most part, just not set up for complicated or non-obvious issues.

Good folks. Do the job right for the price quoted. Very satisfied.

Used through AMEX roadside assistance. Never showed up. AMEX found out truck broke down, hour and a half later. No phone call, no nothing from Gulf Shore Service Center. AMEX found another service. Little Bittys in Foley. Dont waste your time with GSSC

Beware of valuables in car. They will be gone when you pick it up.

These guys are great. A taxi driver told me about these guys when i was having some trouble on the side of the highway. He said thats the only place they let work on their fleet. I called them up and the tow truck guy showed up in less then 10 minutes (really nice guy too). They gave us a ride back to our condo and i figured we would be without a car for the better part of our vacation but they had it fixed the same evening with a warranty that is good even back home. Not to mention the tow was $60 cheaper then what i was quoted by 2 other places on the phone. When we come back next year i hope i wont need any repairs, but if i do i know who i will be calling.
