A week ago, I had my 50th Birthday party at Centro Pizza located in the center of town. Ralph and the staff were amazing despite catering to 26 people and the food was delicious. Centro has proven numerous times that they are the best family friendly pizza and Italian restaurant in the Shoreline Community. I strongly recommend Centro Pizza if you are looking for yummy food, comfortable atmosphere and a friendly attentive staff.

Went to Centros in Guilford with my brother who is visiting from Savannah. Young kid waits on us and brings our wine promptly. We weren't ready to order so he said he'd be back. That was our first mistake. He never came back so after 20mins my brother went looking. He came took our order apologized and left. After 15 mins or so I asked about our salad. Oh you didn't get your salad yet? sorry and off he went to get them(mine had the wrong dressing). After another 20 mins and 2 glasses of wine he comes back with the assistant manager to tell us our ticket was lost and he needs our order again. What!!!! To add insult to injury the assistant manager blamed US because we interrupted him to take our order!!! Yea after we waited 45 mins for HIM to take our order I said. You are blaming us???!!!!! Needless to say we left but not before they charged us for the wine.

Love this place! Great food! We will be back that is for sure!

The people who gave Centro's anything less than 5 stars must have been somewhere else, because that place is GREAT!!!!

I've been there 3 times in the last week and a half and I have tried something new everytime, and each meal was perfect!! Perfect taste, perfect portion size, perfect service (very cute Italian boys), and perfect experience!!!!!

Everyone has to go here to see exactly what I'm talking about. In fact, you should go right now!!!!

This place just opened on May 1. My family and I had dinner there twice already.. Being Italian myself I appreciate good pizza and great food. Besure to order the fried calamari. Probably the best calamari around! What a nice portion. The prices are very reasonable prefect for families... What a great job they did building it. That location was empty for such a long time and now we have a vibrant, family friendly restaurant that I can bring my family too, and know everyone will be happy with their meal.. Need I say more...Thanks for coming to Guilford!!

I have to agree with marianne04. We have been to Centro Pizza in Guilford twice. The first time we had the eggplant and meatball pizza which was delicious. BUT.... the second time we all had dinners. What a terrible disappointment. I had eggplant parm, it was ok. Two of us had chicken with sausage and hot peppers. They should be ashamed to serve a meal like this. The sausage wasn't even browned and a whole sausage was just laying across the top of the very skimpy unappealing chicken. And peppers? Maybe 4 bite size pieces-that's it! One had chicken florentine. Again-nothing special at all. The salad that comes with the dinners is very small, and the pasta that comes with it is also a VERY small portion. The sauce is not very good, and the bread they put on the table is also nothing special. I am sorry about this-was hoping for so much better. Stick with the pizza...

To much of my anticipation, Centro Pizza of Guilford opened up this past week and I was not disappointed. The restaurant and decor was clean and crisp representing Guilford's historic charm including a sign from the original building that hung in the side dining room. The pizza was exceptionally good. I ordered the spicy eggplant and sausge which had a great taste and just the right amount of spice with a thin crust. The artichoke and proscuitto pizza, which my friend had, looked amazing and also tasted great!!! The service was charming and I felt very welcomed. I can't wait to go back and try some pasta dishes, if they are as good as the pizza, Centro pizza will have another loyal customer.

It's ashame that people write bogus reviews on the internet. I went to Centro the other day and couldn't have been happier. The service was great and the food was even better. It was probably the best pizza and chicken parm I've ever had. Even the people around me were commenting about how good everything was. Great prices too! Can't wait to go back!

I went to Centro Pizzaand Restaurant in Guilford, CT yesterday with my family to celebrate my husband's birthday. I was told when I made the reservation that the owners also owned Carmine's Tuscan Grill in New Haven. We have eaten there many times and thought it was very good. So, needless to say we were very excited about Centro. Well, we couldn't have been more disappointed. The food was just awful. I had the eggplant parmigian which was made from eggplant that wasn't even coated or sauted and just had some mozzarella cheese along with sauce on the top. The middle was not even edible. Others ordered the chicked parmigian and my husband had a pasta dish. All the dinners came with a side ofziti which must have been cooked the day before and was completely tasteless. The sauce for everything was a horrible red sauce that tasted like stewed tomatoes and was very acidic. We also ordered a pizza that was awful as well. The calamari as an appetizer was decent but not great. I don't understand why the food was so terrible given the fact that the food at Carmine's is usually quite good. Wouldn't one think that they would use the same recipe's since Carmines is such a successful restanrant that people obviously enjoy? I can't tell you how disappointed we all were. My husband and I were so excited when we saw this restaurant in the works. We said at last, someplace good to eat in Guilford. I told all of my friends and neighbors that we were going and now I have to tell them not to waste their time or money. What a complete disappointment!
