After talking with several tree removal services, a neighbor "in the know" told us to contact Dave's Tree Service.

Our basement was seriously flooding (cracked the basement floor from one end to the other, ruined our new epoxy floor, raised the support beam, cracked drywall on the main floor) due in no small part to a tree acting like a dam, backing water up 6 - 8 inches deep in the side yard during heavy rains. The resulting pond nearly reached the neighbor's foundation, and would take a day to subside revealing more moss and dirt than grass. This was a large maple tree (*hated* having to cut it down) that had branches hanging over our (new to us) house, the neighbor's, and a power line.

We first spoke with Amber at 1:10pm Monday, March 30, 2020, explained our situation, and begged for help as something like 5 days of rain were expected later that week. Amber called back at 1:44pm after speaking with Dave, who would swing by after another job to take a look. Dave arrived at 4:39pm, gave us a very reasonable bid that we accepted.

The next morning, around 11:35am, Dave brought a six person crew, and the team choreography was impressive. The picture with Dave in the bucket was taken at 11:49am. The picture of the stump as taken at 12:45pm, a few minutes after Dave and crew had cleaned up and left.

They were professional, very skilled, careful, and did a fabulous job cleaning up. What more do you need to know? We've recommended them to a neighbor, and will certainly call them again for any tree trimming or removal needs.

BTW - Dave does stump removal too, but thought that for a stump this size with many large surface roots, he recommended using Mike Sterling of Sterling Stump Services. Mike came about 20 minutes after Dave's crew left, and did a fabulous job - very careful, thorough, and professional.

Hard to contact by phone, poor response. They were quick to start the job but didn't follow through to complete. Had to call another to finish the job.

They came in a rush with a short notice. Almost took down the wrong tree, and they forgot one stomp. I am still calling almost two months later to get that stump that they forgot removed or get refunded for it. I would not recommend.

Dave's Tree Service did a great job at my place. They were very professional.
