No particle board here! In 1954 Calvin Summey was employed to manage and draw plans for Mauldin Lumber & Supply Company, located on Main Street in Mauldin, South Carolina. After some 20 years, he was given the chance to purchase the business. The name was then changed to th' Lumber Yard.Like father, like son, Buddy Summey grew up with a love and talent for 'working with wood'. Buddy joined th' Lumber Yard as a partner in 1977 after finishing Clemson University and is now the owner.Specialty products and Custom Services sets th' Lumber Yard apart from other lumber companies.
