Yes, I'm very disappointed dealing with this company. (1). They went over budget and forced a decision from me to go over budget or have an even poorer outcome. (2). Response time to questions from emails have been exceptionally slow. (3). Over 8 months from time of consultation to part-project completion, and at this writing, 1 full year later, the project is still not completed. (4). Don't believe them if they say their crew will do the work, they tried 3 different outside landscapers before they started work. (5). The design was supposed to be drawn by a licensed landscape architect, but only after the project started, we found out the architect was a first year designer. (6). The expensive zoysia sod was put down on top of scraped Bermuda grass ( The Bermuda grass was not killed first} which now is coming up through the sod. (7). We still have plants under contract not replaced which died over the winter (under contract) (8). The grading of the lot made pondding possible as water runoff has no where to go. This problem has been addressed over a dozen times without favorable results. (9). Broken promises over and over again, with no followup to complete project. I cannot recommend this company as as agent for your project.

Rick Huffman personally over-saw the design and implementation of our landscape redesign. From removal of overgrown shrubs and deseased limbs to the redesign of our driveway and addition of colorful shrubs, new sod and perennials, we have a front and back yard of which we are very proud. Rick's professional team even shopped for an artistic fountain, planter. and spot lighting for us and suggested additional artistic enhancement for our home. His irrigation specialist helped us understand the watering system and plants were replaced if not up to par. All work was completed within a few months. Earth Design has exceeded my expectations and we have not even finished the planned work in our landscape. I find this group to have the knowledge and expertise to solve the problems we have had with drainage, and enhance the yard at the same time. The proper planning they do insures that their job is done the "right" way. How wonderful, I am so pleased.

I found Earth Designs by the yellow pages -looking for landscapers. I looked at so many websites; I was especially attracted to theirs because of landscaping with native plants. I found them to really know native plants and how to plan a large landscaped area using them. We are now in our third year, and each year has been a delightful experience - even better than the year before. We were pleased with the use of color all year around, and I would have never thought that possible with native plants. The seasons at my house remind me of a framed cross stitch that I have: "Wishing you butterfly mornings and wildflower afternoons." Without reservation I enthusiastically recommend Earth Designs for any landscape design, work, follow up, etc .

Earth Design did a wonderful job with the design and implementation of our back yard landscaping. They listened carefully to our issues and wishes and then presented us with a design that satisfied our wishes while still staying within our budget. The crew corrected drainage problems, built a dry stream bed, a rain garden and a stone-walled patio, and planted a variety of native trees, shrubs, and perennials. From step one to the end, they were professional, efficient, and friendly. We are delighted with the results and enjoy our new back yard every day.

I highly recommend Earth Design for their expertise and their professionalism. They have completed several projects for us, including initial landscaping as we revitalized an abandoned house and its yard. Earth Design's designers understand that we need to implement projects over a number of years. They have worked with us to ensure that our yard is easy to maintain, healthy and tolerant of the conditions in our area, provides for native wildlife, and offers outdoor rooms that provide variety and interest for us and our guests. I've always appreciated Earth Design's thoughtfulness in giving an extra touch in the small details that adds so much enjoyment and appreciation. And I've been so grateful for their willingness to answer my many questions over the years.

My wife and I found this landscape company to be very good. Great listeners and we got exactly what we wanted. They guaranteed their plants, did a wonderful job of telling us what they were doing and how they were using native plants which once established would require less water and easy to care for.

Earth Design is an inspiring business that works to incorporate environmental stewardship into landscaping. Its President and owner, Rick Huffman, helped found the SC Native Plant Society and has been an innovative leader for conservation in South Carolina.
