I had gone to the online store and purchased a brand new TV and home entertainment system totaling about $2500. I had decided to do the in store pickup because i had scheduled the installation of Direct TV and Delivery would not meet the date. we picked up the TV 2 days before and unboxed it the night before to find that my brand new TV was a used, defective, missing parts and reboxed. I called the store and asked them to fix there mistake and come pick up the TV and deliver my new TV. they told me flat out NO and that i would need to bring the TV back in to make sure i was not lying. I then called the corporate customer services just to be told that it was not there policy to fix mistakes with a pick up and deliver when it is a in store pickup. so the next day i take the morning off of work reload the TV and drive it in. the day manager was actually apologetic especially when he found out that they had a defective return and mislabeled it and gave it to me.they offered me a 10% refund that came out to about $180 and free delivery (which i had in the first place of my online purchases) the problem i have is that is that i had to take half a day off of work, spend the gas and put forth the extra effort to fix there mistake. i am going to miss another half a day off from work to receive the delivery of the TV, and then i will have to miss another half a day from work to wait for the installation of Direct TV. they could not install it because i did not have the TV. As of now between loss work and gas i am out about $250 to $300 and I STILL DON'T HAVE THE TV!!!! Best Buy needs to learn that if they make a mistake it is up to them to go the extra mile to fix it. not me. I will not shop there again. I am going to suggest that other shop elsewhere. I have spent more money than if i just shopped at a more expensive competitor and i will not be making that mistake again. I am also redoing my new kitchen with all new appliances and Best Buy will not be getting my business or my consideration. I would hope you hear this and do the same.

High prices, low quality products and services

The best thing I can say about this store is that the return policy is pretty straightforward. Other than that, I was very unimpressed with the knowledge, helpfulness, and attitude of the sales staff (particularly the younger ones). And best buy is far from living up to its name, with prices at or above MSRP in all cases, well above where their competition is selling. After buying an Insignia (their house brand) Blu-Ray player and taking it home only to find audio gaps and pink screen flashes, we assumed defect and decided to return the player. It's worth nothing the box was labeld "open box merchandise", which I specifically asked the sales person about as in "do you test items before placing back on the shelf?" to which he replied, "oh yes, we put them through a full diagnostic test program"; so I was pissed at that. So the exchange went smooth, took the new player home and lo and behold, same problem! So I guess the player wasn't defective, it was just a crappy product; they're all like that! We returned that one for cash, went to amazon and got a Toshiba for $30 less than the insignia, it works great, and I didn't have to go back to the store to be lied to and treated like a pain in the a** again.

THIS STORE IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!

I purchased an Acer computer, which was my first mistake. It was defective and I tried to call about it but no one would answer the telephone! I took it over and they wanted to send it out to be repaired! Right! I went back home, packed it up, and brought it back for another one! That one quit last week and, again, no one wants to answer the telephone in the service or computer area! I took it over and they screwed around with it for 4 days! I had to make several trips over there just to find out about it since they wouldn't call me! They won't send it out for repair unless I pay for it! I admitted that I opened the case and they say I voided the warranty! Wow! Try to be honest and what do you get?! DO NOT PATRONIZE BEST BUY! The don't care about customer service! They won't stand behind the crap that they sell either!

Ugh!

They have most of electronics you may need or want, but finding someone to help...good luck. Even if you call your put on hold for at least 5 mins, just to be put on hold by someone else. If you go to the store the only way to get someone to help you is to hope that the guy standing at front isn't busy talking to his buddies. Last year I went in to buy a computer, after waiting 23 mins for someone my neice called me, the moment I answered my phone this guy comes from out of nowhere to ask if he could help. Nope, I went somewhere else (CDO). Then I had to go back later cause after looking it up on my computer they were the only store to have the camera I wanted, after waiting 15 mins and asking 3 different employees for help I finally got someone who wanted to sell me a more expensive camera, sigh.
