Dr. Rogers is an amazing, caring vet. On Saturday we brought our baby Gator there hoping to give him just a few more days of antibiotics to see if he would improve, after being told he may not make it. Dr. Rogers used her own personal experience with her dog and her intelligence to treat Gator. Today, his fever broke and he is trying to stand on his own, a tremendous improvement to where he was on Saturday morning. I have never met such a caring, giving, and loving person and would make her my vet on a every week basis if possible. True blessing and angel in disguise.

They are significantly understaffed for an emergency clinic. 2.5 to 4 hour waits are unacceptable. Most people come with "emergencies" so then prioritizing among those emergencies to the point of making someone sit there for 4 hours with their pet emergency is unkind. If you run an emergency hospital - staff it appropriately.

GREAT DOCTOR!

My dog has a umbilical hernia and it got bad, so it was 11pm and no where to go but to AEC. We showed up, no other people in the clinic, filled out paper work, got put right in a room. Nurse came in, as friendly as can be, then doctor came in about 30 minutes later. My puppy is a growler, but he loved on her and she fell in love with him! He was SO wonderful! Plus since there was no need for emergency surgery, he didn't even charge us for his time (a 95 dollar bill!) Just faxed papers to our primary vet and sent us on our way with a copy of the fax.

AWESOME JOB!

Dr. Elliot and the Whole staff are GREAT

I had to make a visit to the Animal Emergency Clinic yesterday, not my first visit, but both visits we and our pets have been treated with the utmost respect. My 6 month old puppy was hit by a car (who didn't stop) in front of my house yesterday I took her in and immediately when I got there they took her back for x-rays and to check her out, the girl came from the back and wanted me to sign the emergency consent form, and explained that the bill could be in upwards of $500.00, so I was in the waiting room for about 20 mins and the girl come out and took me to the room, where I waited on Dr. Elliot to come in. Dr. Elliot come in and explained in great detail (so that I could understand) what exactly was wrong with her, what happened to her, and the options that I had in helping get her better, he told me what was going on in the back room where she was at, exactly what she was doing, the medicines that they had given her and the reason and effects of everything going on, he really made sure that I knew what was going on and how she was. Everyone there was so kind and helpful, but espically Dr. Elliot. Hopefully I will never have to make another visit, but if I do then I know that my animals will be very well taken care of, oh and the final bill was just over $200.00, so the talk about being ripped off and the staff not caring, if that goes on then it was definately not experienced last night, and by the way the puppys is going to be ok.

Our cat had several siezures suddenly last Saturday and her left side was not functional. I called and brought Daisy in. She was euthanized with no heroics at my request,as she was 16 years old. They abided by my wishes and did not try to guilt me into any medical intervention. The staff was wonderful and treated her and us with the utmost respect and dignity. She had a beautiful life and died peacefully in my arms. I would highly recommend anyone to this clinic that loves there animal. They did not rip us off like others have said. At $62.50 to euthanize my cat, they were cheaper than my vet!!!

Traumatic Experience!!

I took my cat here b/c he had just stopped urinating on a Friday night. He has never had any problems before. He would try to go, but couldn't. I immediately took him to the hospital. They kept him until Monday morning at 6am (my pick up time. The hospital praised me on how early I noticed it. Well, when I went to pick up my cat that Monday morning, he was not ready. I waited & waited. It was now about 8am. The doctor told me that they had been unable to give him his medicine the whole time he was there b/c he was a "handful" and that I should have the regular vet (that I was to go to after I left there) to give him the meds ASAP. Shouldn't they be experienced with this? My cat is scared & timid around strangers and in a strange environment. He was an indoor cat and never around other people or animals. But he did go to his regular vet who has given him all his shots & neutered him. The vet had no problems handling him. So I told them I had to go b/c I had to start a new job that morning. They told me that my cat was covered in his own feces and they have not cleaned him yet. I told them I would have to take him that way & pay to have the vet wash him. Why they would let that happen I do not know. Then I was at the checkout & there was 1 gentleman in front of me. They explained to him that his bill was going to be $200 more b/c his cat had pulled out his catheter. then I was up & the same lady said "Guess what? You're cat did the same thing! They must have been in together on this." So I also was charged another $200 making my total bill right under $800. I did not like the joking on her part. And what are the chances of both cats doing that? I was also not happy with the meds not being given & my cat covered in his own feces. I feel that they were mean, rough, and neglectful with him. I dropped him off at our regular vet & they called me a short while later and informed me that my cat had passed away. They said it was from Cardiac Arrest. I know my cat & he has NEVER had a problem at the vet office. This hospital & it's employees should not be in business & should be accountable for their actions. These are not just disposable animals...they are members of families and should be treated with the same respect as humans. They are incompetent and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I would drive to the Spartanburg hospital before I went here again. And on top of it all they overcharge people. I did call them & told them what happened & what my feelings were. They were very nonchalant and really didn't seem to care. But they were glad to take my $800. My family vet sent me a lovely sympathy card.

murder older animals

when an older animal was taken to this facility, the owners encountered BLACKMAIL AND ATTEMPTED EXTORTION,regarding the very life of the animal. Because the animal, who was a outside country animal, had fleas and ticks, despite being bathed recently, and having the normal elderly problems all of which were being effectively, were descriminated against because on the ride the animal became thirsty, they claimed she was dehydrated and neglected. then they seized the animal and threatened to terminate the animal, unless the owners paid 1100.00 for an overnight stay and water for the animal, because the owners could not afford the bill they illegally terminated the animal against the will of its owners and then charged the owners with the price of killing the animal. I NOT ONLY WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THE BUISNESS I BELIEVE THAT THE FACILITY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND BE FORCED TO REPAY ANY OWNERS THAT THEY HAVE WRONGED IN THIS WAY AND OTHERS.
