Nov.10,2020 Chris Thompson came to my home for the first time. He determined my washer needed new springs. The tub was off balance. Exactly one month later Dec. 10th he came to do the repair. The machine is only 6 years old. I purchased it from HART APPLIANCE on Patterson Ave, here in Greensboro. Chris is authorized to work on Speed Queen and contracted by HART APPLIANCE. The very first time I used the machine it flooded my finished basement area.(small room).The adjuster from his insurance co. (Hartford) checked my plumbing, the drains, the electric panel, outlets, hot water heater sump pump. All in working order. They denied to pay the claim. The good news is my insurance paid for all of it except the washer. THIS IS AN INSURANCE THING. NO INSURANCE WHETHER HIS OR MINE PAY FOR THE OBJECT THAT CAUSED THE DAMAGE. The 8 inches of standing water was mitigated by ServPRO Restoration. The cost of the repair was $266.00 paid to HART APPLIANCE for Chris Thompson to come two time to my home. I have filed a complaint with the BBB because I had informed CHRIS THOMPSON that my washer needs to be replaced. A new one is $900.00. He is AWOL and will NOT return my calls It is now Feb.8th 2021. I have had no help from HART APPLIANCE either. I have just paid $266.00 to businesses (supposed to businesses with a good reputation) that are kicking this can down the road. I will soon be filing a complaint with the BBB against HART APPLIANCE also. These are not good businesses with good business practices. They do not care about your home, your pocketbook, only their profits. What a mess this has been. In the future I will call Convienant Appliance Repair. Call CHRIS THOMPSON if you want your home flooded. He's way more expensive than Con. App. Repair. CHRIS is 133.00 a visit and Con. App.is 80,00 a visit. He has not responded to the complaint I filed with the BBB. The total costs of this REPAIR NIGHTMARE IS $5,500.
