Hatfield & Hatfield began in 1974 when Jack and Kitty hung out their shingle on the second floor of the Piedmont Building. After a move to the Wachovia building and Jack s four year term as a District Court Judge, Kitty and Jack resumed practicing together on Washington Street, then a one story building. In 1989 Cindy joined Hatfield & Hatfield and a short time later, the second floor addition was built to accommodate the entire family. The firm has evolved with Kitty and Cindy limiting their practices to family law, and Jack primarily being a criminal lawyer and civil litigator.
