Greenland Central School, also known as GCS, enrolls more than 355 students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The school offers special education classes for students with learning disabilities. It conducts spelling bee competitions, as well as the Title I program. The school offers several sports activities, such as soccer, volleyball and baseball. It operates a cafeteria that provides a variety of food items for lunch. The school has more than 35 full- and part-time teachers and over 25 support staff. Greenland Central School is governed by the Greenland School District.
