My son was lost in addiction and it was through the influence of U Turn that he was able to find his way out. He is now a productive member of society and able to live a drug free life. Pastor is tough as are the overseers. Some people can’t handle it and speak badly of the program. I have personally seen the miracles happen. If someone is ready to do the hard work of ridding themselves of addiction and turning their lives over, this is the place. It’s not fancy, it doesn’t pamper snowflakes, but it works!

I would highly recommend U-Turn For Christ. I had the privilege to go through the program about ten years ago and am still free from drugs and alcohol. However I've got to tell you, I almost didn't make it through the program.

When I started, and about two weeks into the program when sober for the first time in years , all of a sudden, I thought I had an epiphany and somehow I gained some kind of moral high ground. I thought most of the U-Turn For Christ overseers leaders were a idiots, they didn't care and they were lying to me.. I was not clear minded about a lot things especially in the first weeks and months

Basically I thought I didn’t need to follow ridiculous rules U-Turn For Christ had put me under. I hadn’t realized how the rules were actually helping me learn discipline. God was giving me discipline to stay sober. Yes the overseers knew how to push my buttons to get my stinking thinking out front, but God would teach me one step at a time how to give it to Him through it all.

If you really want to get off drugs and alcohol you got to humble yourself before God. Let U-Turn For Christ Tennessee serve you and equip you with the fundamental truths that set captives free.U-Turn For Christ is a safe environment that allows you refuge from the temptations in the world, I know pastor Steve and his staff. They are motivated by Christ to love and restore everyone in the program.

I know first hand of many who were thinking or planning to go to U-Turn For Christ but for whatever reason ended up not going and some are in jail or worse dead. Please don’t take chances, today is the day that God wants to start your healing, No matter what it takes, crawl on your hands knees if you have to. Get to U-Turn For Christ. Let Christ heal and restore you for His glory.

3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, Titus 3:3-6

If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free Jn 8:32

I have the privilege first hand to see this ministry in action and to see lives of men and women changed forever! I serve in the ministry when I can helping with worship and technical arts, serving alongside other servant hearts, and have had the chance to listen to many testimonies of folks attending U-Turn. I also know first-hand because my son attended and U-Turn for Christ has helped him in amazing ways! The ministry can only help you if you want it to help. The Lord will speak to you only if you want to listen. We need to continue supporting and praying for this ministry, the folks attending, and for the Pastors serving these men and women battling with these strongholds. Mark 4:9

U Turn For Christ is a strict and structured ministry where i was given the raw truth. I needed help and they pointed me to the Lord. The truth was i was lost in my addiction and only i was to blame for my circumstances. As i gave The Lord the opportunity He began to mold and shape me into who i am today.

Rustic but clean, unconventional but relevant, hard but worth it.

I learned to appreciate everything even stuff i never gave a second thought...doing my laundry in a bucket helped with that. I learned that love and help come in all different shapes and sizes, that it's hard to find either in the world and it's not usually what i'm looking for. The hardest times of my life have been at U Turn For Christ and because I trusted God thru them, I have overcome. God has done this.

Beware of this place!! They call it Christian based rehabilitation from addiction, but there is little to no spiritual teaching (about 5%) and the residents aren't even allowed in the sanctuary! They use people in their time of need...this is a work camp..almost all that the residents do is work on the ranch or in the community, which U-Turn receives pay for. They do not have washer & dryer so the men have to hand wash, ring out, and hang dry their clothes. They provide bunk beds in an old trailer and call them "dorms." If you are new, you aren't allowed to sleep on the lower bunks, and there isn't any air conditioning! All the food they serve is donated, outdated, and often rotten/spoiled/moldy. The so called leaders are unqualified and are recovering addicts themselves. They are huge on discipline...the men aren't allowed to ask for anything or speak when not spoken to or discipline will occur...which consists of more work, digging 5x5 trenches, writing 5000 sentences, etc. They do not allow the men any phone contact with family...only written...and they read the letters to make sure the men haven't told their loved ones the TRUTH about this place, and if they have, their letters will not be sent. They charged my husband $1500 donation. Some men only paid $800, so I guess it's how desperate you seem on the phone. In Phase 2: they have the men move to a different trailer and have them pay rent...like $100/wk. My husband said that they made a young man walk 6 miles to a job site, that the leaders were driving to... just because!! The "leaders" were horribly rude to me on the phone and wouldn't talk to me in person when I decided to pick my husband up from there and bring him somewhere else. I don't know how they can call themselves Christians!!! They treat their residents like SLAVES and reap the benefits. Once I removed him, they refused to give him all of his belongings including his credit and debit cards, cash, etc. I attempted to call numerous times and they wouldn't answer the phone or return my call!!!! Horrible people!! They will be judged on their final day though. Save yourself and DO NOT GO HERE for help!! You will only be helping them, while suffering yourself. Good luck to you & yours!

This place is run by unqualified people with no professional training. The living quarters are atrocious, only heat is wood burning stove. If the unqualified people in charge decide you have not done as told they send you outside in 19° weather to dig holes in the ground. I witnessed it myself. They do not allow you to discuss your addiction, you are only allowed to learn the Bible and how God can help you. That part is good and they do learn a lot. But they are treated almost inhumanly. I would never recommend sending anyone here and I apologized to my child for putting her thru that.

Please check this place out be...

Please check this place out before placing anyone here. Men sleep (or try to) in unairconditioned upstairs. Turnover rate is VERY high. They require 2 months (cash) pre-pay and you lose if they don't stay (very unlikely that they will). This is supposed to be a Christian rehab center. Sure there is Bible study but their practices seem very unChristian - ask those who have left. Punishment is very inconsistent - just whatever the leader wants to do for that day and depends on if you're one of their "favorites". Very little accountability. Your loved one WILL NOT make it so you're wasting your money. Ask them for a list of those who have left for a reference. I know, they'll tell you you'll just hear from a disgruntled person but that person will tell you what it's really like. Trust me, NOT a place they'll want to go. Writing this in hopes of saving others from the "experience" (it will be a bad one).

This is offered as our opinion of the place.
