Mr. Coleman does not provide consistent information, and set expectations that did not materialize. He does not return calls promptly if at all. I feel his knowledge of the law is insufficient. This resulted in a rare illegal sentencing in Weld County. In fact he didn't appear at my son's sentencing and had to be called to court. After my son's sentencing I approached him to verify the sentence, as he had told my son he would be getting probation, but he was sentenced to 2 years which was upsetting in itself. He was upset with me for calling his office to ask if he was going to appear and that he should get his butt to court, my tone was far from nasty. When I spoke with his secretary she said "Oh, he has court?" Can you imagine my horror when the man with my only living son's future in his hands can't remember that he is supposed even be at his hearing. My son, myself and the other party in the cased had been in contact or trying to contact him for the last week. This leads me to believe that the office is unorganized. After sentencing he followed me out of the court room berating my son, yelling at me to never call him again! To have a 6 foot tall man towering over me and follow me , a 63 year old woman, so close I could feel his breath on my neck was terrifying. I definitely felt mental abused, harassed and scared. I kept telling him to leave me alone, stop talking to me, I would never call him again. I was crying, but yet he did not have enough compassion to see what he was doing to me. He only stopped outside the courthouse when I threatened to call police. This is not a man I would trust with my future, my family's future in his hands.
