We were actually really excited to try this place. Who doesn't love a café that serves breakfast. I would love to just say it was a bad server but it was the most bizarre experience I've had anywhere. Our server was apparently new. She didn't know that you could not make substitutions for the hashbrowns but told us we could substitute any side item but that bacon would be an upcharge. Makes sense. We both made substitutions but were then charged for the items. When we asked the server about the charges we then watched her take a lecture from the manager who then proceeded to argue with us about the charges. She was extremely combative and unprofessional and even asked me what I do for a living to make a case as to why we should pay the extra $6 in charges. She removed the charge for the mashed potatoes but would not remove the bacon charge. Her attitude and behavior was simply shocking. Not to mention the chicken fried steak was raw in the middle. But I didn't want to complain and chose just to not eat it. I should have had her remove that charge. Instead I choose to never go back. It took hours to not feel offended and really ruined a nice evening out for dinner.
