They have always been very pleasant to deal with. I've had them service my sewing machines and my daughters' and they do good work. I had taken one of my machines that was broken to Gall Sewing to be serviced years ago and it came back with the wrong part, blatantly wrong, wrong color, didn't fit the machine. Then the owner of a business that did alterations suggested Smith-Owen. I've been very happy with them. They also carry beautiful fabrics.

Viking machine and it works beautifully, like new. The cost was quite reasonable, and I found the staff courteous and attentive. I highly recommend this shop.

I went to Smith-Owen because I had heard good things about it, but I was very disappointed with my experience. I took my sewing machine in because of some broken gears, and when I went to pick it up, the staff barely even acknowledged my presence. I wanted to ask questions about it but no one paid any attention to me except to take my money. I got the machine home and it didn't even turn on. I called immediately and the person who answered the phone was very unhelpful. I brought it back and apparently there was a part not put back on correctly, so I waited while the technician fixed the part. While I was waiting, the other staff once again barely acknowledged me. I got the machine home and it still will not turn on. I will not give this place my business again because was treated rudely and my sewing machine is now completely unusable.
