Dr. Thakur has always been driven by a passion to help other people during challenging parts of life. Becoming a doctor who specializes in treating cancer aligns perfectly with this mindset. Dr. Thakur’s parents have been a strong influence in his life – supporting him unconditionally and ensuring nothing came in the way of his education and ability to become a doctor.As a medical oncologist, Dr. Thakur treats patients with many types of cancer with medicine and chemotherapy. He has a special interest in the areas of lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancer and genitourinary cancer.In his spare time, Dr. Thakur enjoys being with his daughters. They love to travel as much as possible and see new places.Receiving a cancer diagnoses is a devastating and life-changing event. From day one with a patient, my aim is to connect as a human being, and to work compassionately to arm them with complete knowledge and treatment options. I strive to keep my patients well informed and show them a positive attitude. Together, we convert this perceived struggle into a fruitful journey.
