Rushed sales, which suited us at the time; we were anxious to get out and enjoy our new ATV. Apparently, even when you spend $12,000 on a vehicle with them, a quarter tank of gas is all they feel you deserve. Others got free shirts and to ring the sales bell, but not us. Sales rep hung up on us, denied it when confronted.

When we needed repairs after an accident, it got worse. I've seen more professional behavior from teenagers. No follow through or effort to provide quality customer service from either the service tech or the general manager. We've been waiting a month and still may have to wait another week.

Had a horrible experience with this company. Put in my Goldwing and an very inexperienced mechanic worked on it, killed battery, did mis-wiring that shorted out foglights, and didn't do what they charged for. I cannot believe the level of excuses their management gave and I will continue to post reviews online and keep this alive, they have basically scammed money from me while making excuses for their poorly trained tech. I cannot recommend that ANYONE trust their mechanics to work on your set of wheels, your life may depend on it.

I just picked up a used 2...

I just picked up a used 2007 Honda Shadow Spirit (VT1100C) and love the ride. I am not so pleased with the dealership; Fox Shawmut Hills in Grand Rapids, MI where I purchased this bike. Prior to my purchasing this bike, they assured me this bike had been completely “gone through” by their Service Department and that everything was perfect on it. I found different.



Item 1: During the Test Ride I discovered the speedometer did not work. They did replace the cable before I left the dealership and it works now but makes a whine noise now.



Item 2: I discovered after leaving the dealership that the horn did not work and I had to replace it when I got home.



Item 3: The rear brake pedal was so far inward that it was difficult to use. I went to the local Honda dealer in my hometown of Lansing and found that it was bent and needed to be moved back in place above the foot peg.



Item 4: The connector at the rear brake pedal for the brake lights is broken (probably damaged when the brake pedal got bent inward).



Item 5: After leaving the dealership I noticed the oil pressure light coming on and discovered the oil was low by more than 10 ounces.



What truly bothers me is that the dealer told me, “This bike has been well maintained, never hurt, the Service Department has been completely through the bike, everything is perfect” and “I would sell this bike to my own Dad with no worries.” Their words, not mine.

Excellent Service

If you have a service problem, these guys are the primo guys to come to for service on Honda & other bikes. You get what you pay for, and if you want it done right - come here!

Great Service Department

The service department at Shawmut Hill Sales is very helpful and knowledgible. They can pinpoint your mechanical issues and fix them right the first time. Top shelf all the way!
