Always delicious

I have been eating here since I was a little kid and it just gets better and better. Definitely the best sushi in town, and that doesn't do it justice.

20 minutes to water...

Granted, the downtown portion of Grand Junction is undergoing a renovation so the streets are a mess. We chose to use the nice, new parking lots off the back streets and came in through the back entrance. A lovely bar area greeted us, clean and well lit with a great selection.

We walked through the bar area and requested a table - this is where the good impression wore off. Greasy haired waiter looked at us as if we were a hassle and "managed" to find us a table amongst the empty tables that had not been cleared of debris. Sure, we were seated and given menus, we browsed, made up pour minds and were ready! Then we waited.... and waited.... and waited..... This place had less than 20 customers in it and we still did not have a server or anyone who had actually come to the table to acknowledge that we were customers.

Just as we were about to leave, that same greasy haired kid came and took our order, at least he came with water.

Here is the worst part... I ordered a drink from the bar. Good drink - too bad the waiter let it sit there for 10 minutes. The glass was sweaty and all of the bartender's work had gone to waste.

Second worst part - 2 appetizers came 10 minutes apart, then our 2 entrees came 10 minutes apart - and all had very obviously been sitting for a while, cold and coagulated.

As we were finishing our meal that came in increments, the waiter started to hover, as if to say "I want to go home, you eat and leave". We arrived at 7:30 and received our first appetizer at 8:20. BAD BAD BAD

Don't go here - try crossing the street to the local Mexican, Italian or Nepalese restaurant.
