Sears, Roebuck and Company is the nation's fourth largest broadline retailer with more than $50 billion in annual revenues and approximately 3,800 full-line and specialty retail stores throughout the United States and Canada. Sears Roebuck started modestly, as a mail-order company, peddling its catalog to farmers across the rural United States. The earliest catalogs featured watches and jewelry, but by 1895 Sears Roebuck was producing a 532-page catalog offering shoes, women's garments and millinery, wagons, fishing tackle, stoves, furniture, china, musical instruments, saddles, firearms, buggies, bicycles, baby carriages and glassware, in addition to watches and jewelry. Today, now known as Sears, the company's proprietary brands include Kenmore, Craftsman and DieHard, and apparel, including such well-known labels as Lands' End, Jaclyn Smith and Joe Boxer, as well as the Apostrophe and Covington brands. The company also offers Martha Stewart Everyday products, which are available exclusively in the U.S. at Kmart (now part of Sears, Inc.) and in Canada at Sears Canada. It has one of its locations in Grand Junction, Colo.
