Provided by YP.comThey ruined 7 silk blouses and 2 silk dresses. When I went to pick them up, they were dry, brittle and had runs in the silk. They told me that they could not be held responsible for any of the damage (over $1,000). When I asked the manager for his information to pass on to my attorney, he handed me the generic business card and said that I would never see the money. As a new Goose Creek resident, I am appalled that a business like this is still in business.

Provided by YP.comI am a real customer and will not suggest other drycleaners in the area.
I will never go to Tommy's again. I've gone to Tommy's probably 8-10 times over the last year. Can't say the place is top notch. They aren't very friendly and it's always dark inside with the only light coming through the windows. But hey, whatever. They're close to my house in Crowfield, the turnaround is usually within a couple business days, and the prices seem reasonable.
However, this morning I decided to try their drive-through on the side of the building. The last few times I have been in they have reminded me that they have a drive through for my convenience and I remembered to this time. I had a suit on a hanger hanging above my passenger side back seat just inside the door, so I pulled up to the window with the passenger side closest to the building so they could just open the door and grab it. No problem, right? Apparently not. This little old eastern European lady that barely speaks English, who I think is the owner, opens the building's sliding door. Before I can say anything, she starts asking (in barely coherent English) what my problem is and that if I have something I need to get out of my car, walk around, open the door, and hand it to her. She then says I pulled in the wrong way and that I should have pulled in on the driver's side and handed it to her through the window.
So I said, first off, there are no signs that say which way to pull in. How am I supposed to know? Second, only my passenger side has a back door that opens because I have a pick-up truck with a 3rd door, so I can't reach it and hand it through the window. Third, it's a drive-thru, meaning I'm not getting out of anything. If I wanted to do that, I could've parked right in front of the store like I usually do and walked it in. Fourth, I pulled up on that side to make it convenient for them, so they don't have to walk around the truck to get it, which I would have fully expected them to do anyway because I am a paying customer, but hey, I'm a nice guy. But frankly the drive-thru is for my convenience (the customer), not theirs.
I tried to give her a chance to apologize by telling her that I can take my business elsewhere if she wants to have an attitude. Instead, she kept arguing with me and when I started to pull away she called me "stupid."
All she had to do was smile, say hello, and open a door. Instead, she chose to run off a paying customer over nothing. So, like I said, I will never go to Tommy's again. There are several other drycleaners in the area that would love to have my business, and they can't possibly have worse customer service than Tommy's.
