From the outside looking in, this place appears attractive. However, surrounding the units in pine straw creates an oasis for the roaches at night. If you dislike bugs, DO NOT move here. Yes, they say and you pay for pest control with your water bill, but I had to spray my windows and doorways with store bought bug killers so the roaches where dead when I found them on the floor instead of running around. The pine straw also blocks the AC drain and causes a flood which happened 3 times in my time there. Pictures of the water damage are below. Their fix was slapping paint over the water mark which made it obvious something was covered in the spot. It always happened around 11, 12, 1am when you had to wait for hours for the carpet people to come and clean the mess and then wait hours while they cleaned. The appliances are ancient and rusting and the actual units (not the models) show clear signs of age (i.e, areas in walls that look like they've been coated repeatedly in plaster and paint). The interior is old and not well taken care of. The cabinets are falling apart. Rent is ridiculously high and you can hear everyone and everything. The sound of people talking, animals barking, movies blaring, people cooking, walking, showering, flushing toilets, running water, opening and closing doors, using appliances, garbage disposals, vacuums, wood squeaking, cars running, kids screaming are all common things to expect. And energy inefficient. My utility bills are higher than what I've experienced before. In the summer your unit wont be able to keep up with the heat 76 was the norm with the AC running non stop causing a 200 plus electric bill. There is no separate billing for sewage or water. They charge by the building then divide it by the number of occupants in each apartment. Which was over priced for me. I only showered once every three days cause I work long shifts and showered at work the other two days, but my water bill was way higher that my friends that live 3 and 4 to a house in the same subdivision and shower, cook, clean, wash cars, water grass. All things that I couldn't do in an apartment life. Flooding in the lawns, parking, and surrounding roads is a big problem too. I often worried and sand bagged my patio to prevent water from entering my unit and would need water tight shoes to walk to and from my cars. Flood pictures below of after the rivers stopped. I parked directly under a street lamp for safety from the multitude of times I saw broken car windows and heard stories of theft and vandalism even that the gym was broken into through a window. I only experienced this once myself when a push mower was stolen from the rear of my truck one night when the lamp was not working. The mower was damaged and going to the scrap metal yard the next day anyways, but the fact remains people break into cars a lot. I have provided pictures of the mounds of trash in front of the trash been which was a common occurrence and the small cans around the property over flow often too. I would not recommend this place to a friend. My rent started at between 600 and 700, which includes your cable bill and when I moved I was paying 1200 a month. Lastly you are not in Goose Creek City, you will wait for the Sheriff's for police, EMS comes from Summerville exit 199 on I26 and Fire comes from Caromi Fire on College Park Road a Volunteer Department with little trained personal and equipment.
