Years ago, I had a carpenter ant problem and called several pest control companies. None of the sales people could find where the carpenter ants were coming from. The sales people from Terminix and Ortho automatically started pushing their termite control program even though my problem was carpenter ants and not termites. One company even proposed drilling holes in my dry wall to lay powder down. The guy from Amendt was the only one to find the nest and Bob came out and treated it. I called them again several years later when I had a squirrel problem and Bob found where they were entering and was finally able to get rid of them. Two weeks ago, my lawn service was starting a new pest control company and offered to give me a free inspection. No surprise, the guy "discovered" that we had a terrible termite problem that needed to be addressed immediately. I called Amendt for a second opinion and was assured that there was no termite problem. Having used them off and on for 8 years, I have found that Amendt has always given me an honest assessment and fix the solution without the scare tactics and hard sale.

If there was a choice not to put any stars i would. I usually dont write reviews but because i believe this company doesn't deserve to be a pest control company. i live in an apartment complex, moved in recently and had a case of bedbugs. i had called a larger company and asked how to catch it so that i had proof and the landlord would pay for it. So i used my husband as bait he slept and 45 min into it i came in and caught three put it in a ziplock bag. The management for the apartment calls Amendt and the owner comes. He inspects it and says "these are not bed bugs". Me and him get into an arguement cuz i knoww its bedbugs and he say its not. So he opens the ziplock bag dont ask me y (what would u see that you cant see through a plastic bag). Of course i go and take it away from him cause i know if these fall my proof is gone. SO he says you should have caught them and put them in alcohol so i can see it better and that he wanted to take them to the lab to put it under a miroscope.Seriously!! anyone can tell they are baby bed bugs. (by the way he was very Rude) i ask him a few questions about bed bugs like "what color are newborn bed bugs he says"brownish red" . wrong answer they are clear only when they feed are they red and an adult is brownish red. after they leave i call a bigger company and they confirm in less then five seconds that they are indeed bedbugs!!!!

The guy from A Amendt came into the house to look at a possible bed bug problem, because a family member had bed bugs and we wanted to know if they were brought into our house. He investigated NOTHING. He looked around the house and, asked how big the house was and wrote up an estimate. I had another company come in with a dog and we found out we were all clear. I am glad I did spend thousands with these guys.

The guy (Ed P.) that was sent to my house was very rude- almost crazy like- I did not feel comfortable with him in my home and will not call their company again.
