I am not much of a computer guy and am truly sad that I know find myself writing a review online to warn others. In March of 2017, I needed legal assistance for a family member, I received mailings from JT Legal Group and they at first were very attentive, I felt that I could trust them and agreed to do business with them. Once I paid them and signed an agreement it all went south. I will not get into all of the details, however here we are a year later, the initial case they filed, they named the wrong parties, they were allowed by the court to amend the complaint and again they named the wrong parties and did not have any of the paperwork correct. Making a long story short we found ourselves facing a motion by the defendants which would have ended the case and I would have lost without any recourse.

So we dismissed the case and immediately re-filed. JT Legal than sat on the paperwork and did not serve anybody, then filed a motion for a protective order. In the hearing for the protective order, the attorney told the Judge that he had in fact served the parties, none of which appeared for the hearing and the Judge issued the protective order. 3 days later the attorney for the other side filed a motion to dissolve the order based on not being notified. The Attorney for JT Legal flat out lied to the Judge and again the new case is now in trouble. A year and a half and absolutely no result, other than JT Legal Group collecting approximately $30,000.

I have attempted to resolve this issue with JT Legal and all they want to talk about is more money they believe they are entitled to. They continue to believe that all of their actions were justifiable. I told Attorney Avenisian that I intended to file a complaint with the State bar and he replied by email, "Do you think you are the first client to have filed a Bar complaint? They have picked off every piece of meat on my bones and cleared me. "

Don't get ripped off by this firm, please do your research

I found these reviews online after finishing up my case with JT Legal Group and couldn't believe what I read. I will go through my entire case from first hearing from JTLG.

In January 2016 I fell behind on payments due to medical costs for my wife. After she passed away I didn't care about anything, and soon after had many bills that became overdue. When I received my Notice of Default, I planned to let the house go since I had little, if any, equity.

I received a letter from JTLG letting me know that the county recorders office had filed, and we're eventually going to move forward with a sale date. I spoke with a few ladies in the beginning, (Lisa, Jackie, and Attorney Ms Singh). After going through the initial consultation, the ladies found that there had been multiple violations with my lender/servicer ocwen, for not getting in touch with my prior to the foreclosure. They were suppose to call and find out why I had missed the payments and give me options - which they had never done.

Now this is the part where I cannot believe the previous bad reviews - All three ladies told me upfront that there was no guarantee. They explained that a TRO may stop the foreclosure proceedings, but ultimately it's up to the judge. After which we would have to continue to fight for months, maybe even years if I wanted to get my property back.

The girls gave me hope again to fight for my house.

9 months later JTLG and the lender came to a settlement in which the lender would put me back into loan modification review, give me a settlement, and drop a significant amount of arrears.

Apparently I was a good case, and not all end up like me, but the girls were very transparent prior to starting litigation. They gave me options for what I wanted to do - BK, Shortsale, walk away, etc. But I choose to litigate because of the professionalism of the company.

They copy and paste lawsuits, they don't add the details in the complaint, which would likely get your case dismissed. They charge you $1550 a month even when there is no activity going on in the month, and costs they can't even explain.

For example, they charge $25 to just mail a notice to the court when they could have just mailed it regular mail. They rush file everything even CMC statements because they do everything at last minute thus it drives up the cost. They charge $110 per court call while in fact the court only charges $60-80 for the call. When asked, all they can tell is, "there is cost to litigation."

This company took $13,000 of my money over a 9 month period of time and I got nothing! I was suing my lender for wrongful forclosure I was told by the attorney I was working with at JT legal that I had a million dollar case! Also that I would surely get my house back. We ended up suing the mortgage company for my house and $300,000 after 10 months I asked to speak to the owner of the firm to change my payment arrangement I asked over 8 times I never spoke to him, never got an email from him or any type of contact. Today I got an email saying they filed a motion to be relieved from my case. In the meantime my house is still just sitting with the bank, and I am out $13,000. Don't work with them they are all about their money and don't care at all about homeowners.

JT legal group stopped my foreclosure sale date only 2 weeks before the auction. Mrs. Singh and her team did an amazing job making sure me, and my home was protected from Seterus.

I highly recommend JT Legal Group. I was involved in a foreclosure matter and contacted JT Legal Group. The Attorneys were very helpful in assisting me in resolving my case. They made me feel comfortable and informed throughout the process. They were able to put a stop to my auction date and help me save my home.
